This customer out of Wisconsin was concerned about the Casing Compass being ripped off by the rocky terrain they were boring through, so they came up with an innovative solution. They cut a hole out of the top of their casing big enough to inset the casing compass into the wall thickness of the casing. We love the innovative nature of our customers!
The Casing Compass is highly resistant to damage from its surrounding terrain.
1. It has a 60% reduced frontal soil contact over a traditional rectangular water level block.
2. Its triangular shape and welded edges make it highly resistant to compressive forces. This is the same property of the triangular shape that make it desirable in building bridges and other structures that sustain heavy loads.
